Compatibility: I already have an equatorial mount (e.g. Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i). Can I use it with NOMAD?

The original NOMAD base is not compatible with Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i or most other equatorial mount systems.

The default base is a compact Arca-Swiss plate measuring 37.8 × 37.8 × 9.5 mm, designed for lightweight tripod setups rather than Vixen-style equatorial mounts.

To use NOMAD with an equatorial mount, you will need to replace the original base with a compatible Vixen dovetail base, such as:
NOMAD Vixen Dovetail Plate Base & Tall Arca-Swiss Plate Base & C Base with Stop Screw (A Base: Vixen dovetail plate).
This allows NOMAD to be securely mounted on standard Vixen-style equatorial systems.
