Tripod-NOMAD fits in a regular tripod or needs a special one?

A regular tripod will work. You will need a pan & tilt head, such as a ball head or wedge, to mount the NOMAD onto the tripod. This also allows you to perform polar alignment by aligning the NOMAD with Polaris or the South Celestial Pole.

So theoretically NOMAD can work with all tripods as it is attached to the tripod by a ballhead or similar tool.
