Once the NOMAD is polar aligned, the NOMAD itself should remain fixed and aligned to the North Celestial Pole (or South Celestial Pole in the Southern Hemisphere). You should not move the NOMAD base after alignment.
Your camera is mounted on a ball head attached to the NOMAD. This allows you to freely point the camera in any direction you want while the tracker continues to follow the sky.

In short:
- NOMAD stays aligned to Polaris (Northern Hemisphere) or the South Celestial Pole (Southern Hemisphere)
- The ball head is used to frame your target
- Only the camera direction changes, not the tracker
This setup allows you to both track the stars and compose your shot independently.
