How NOMAD works?

NOMAD is a portable star tracker designed to compensate for the Earth’s rotation, allowing you to capture sharp images of the night sky with long exposure times.

Once properly set up and polar aligned (pointing toward Polaris in the Northern Hemisphere or the south celestial pole in the Southern Hemisphere),
NOMAD rotates at the same speed as the Earth but in the opposite direction. This keeps the stars stationary in your frame during exposure, preventing star trails.

After mounting your camera on NOMAD and completing polar alignment, you can take longer exposures of the Milky Way, stars, and other celestial objects with improved clarity and detail.
