Yes, NOMAD can work in both hemispheres, as it features both N (Northern) and S (Southern) modes. However, before using the NOMAD, you'll need to perform a polar alignment by aligning it to the correct celestial pole: Polaris (Northern Hemisphere) or Sigma Octantis (Southern Hemisphere). For this, you'll need the polar alignment tool, laser, phone mount, or polar scope.
Since the guide star in the Southern Hemisphere is too dim, the laser is not as effective, so we recommend using the phone mount and polar scope.
If you plan to use the NOMAD only in the Northern Hemisphere, you can choose the Starter Kit with the laser pointer.
If you're looking for a kit for both hemispheres, the Phone Mount Kit is the best choice. The Southern Hemisphere kits can also be used in the Northern Hemisphere.
